Denmark, Copenhagen

What to say about CPH?
I love it so much, I wanna live over there!
Had such an amazing time in Denmark. Copenhagen feels really cosy and it's absolutely charming.

The Danish language is really tricky! It's kind of like a Scandinavian French haha They don't pronounce half of the words as they write it..actually I think it's worse than French, but that's because it's completely foreign to me. Still, I'd love to learn it. In fact, I learnt how to count to 10! I've been told that my accent was pretty decent haha When we left the airport, trying to find our way to our hostel, we couldn't get help from anybody...nobody understood us..we were trying to speak the name of the street of our hostel but they didn't understand my accent! how dare they?

The Danes not only are beautiful, but they're also super nice and friendly!
No, seriously. The Danes are gorgeous. Both men and women. The Danish guys have such a fancy hair! I was mesmerised. But they have the weird habit of wearing black socks when they're wearing shorts...my friend didn't like the way Danish people wore running shoes with everything haha but this is oh so common where I come from!
We were wandering the streets of Copenhagen, completely lost, when we stumbled upon these three Danes - two guys and a Korean-looking girl who spoke English with a fake Cockney British accent for some weird reason...
Anyway, they were super super nice! Helped us carry our shit around and also helped us find our way to the hostel! We hung out until around 3AM on the street of the hostel, it was really fun. Later that week we met up with one of the Danish guys who was super kind to show us around.

The whole atmosphere is magical...Summer over there is hot, but the good kind of hot, the kind of hot that does not make you feel like you want to get out of your skin. It's fresh!

Everything is clean and bike-centered, which is really really awesome.
Danes know very little about public transportation in CPH because they barely use it, since they mostly use their bikes to get around. Speaking of public transportation, omg, it's kind of a mess...signaling is very poor, at least for stupid tourists like me...I got lost all the time, but I get lost all the time regardless anyway....

There are tons of 7 elevens everywhere. Which is good! You can barely find anything open in Paris late at night, but you can always rely on 7 eleven in CPH.

Everyone who owns a boat can just put it in the canal and sail. How nice is that? That gives the city a very good vibe, people sailing or just anchored, just having a good time...it's a nice thing to see.

I was lucky that there was a Jazz Festival going on so my friend and I bought some drinks and sat on the sidewalk watching the band play some good music and everyone having a good time...then we strolled around and found more bands playing, and this one in particular was fantastic! People were in ecstasy ! So were we!

Nightlife in CPH during the summer is really lively, I guess that's because it's cold during the rest of the year, so they enjoy all they can now. We went to a place called The Moose, full of Danes...anyone can write on the wall or on the table, ANYWHERE really...I had a great time there.

Tried Somersby cider for the first time and liked it. It was Apple flavoured. Tried Sombersby cider for the second time and I fucking adored it. It was the Wild Cactus flavour, special edition apparently, it comes dressed in animal print. I really loved the flavour of it. My favourite Danish drink I have to say haha even though I loved Cocio, too! I tried Carlsberg in France and didn't like it, tried Tuborg this time around and I thought it was way better than Carlsberg, but that's just the opinion of a person who usually does not like beer haha

Christiania is a must-go, it's a city (mini country?) inside CPH. It's a hippie city. It's a FREE city! People live in some sort of communism over there. They welcome visitors, but at some areas you cannot take pictures. They have their own beer, which is worth tasting it. Dogs there are usually unleashed, 'cause people who live there think it's very hypocritical to live in a free town and have leashed animals... they do have a point, don't they? :)
People from Christiania invented a special kind of bike that has a little wagon/seat in the front of it, where they can carry stuff or people. Really ingenious!

Nyhavn used to be badly frequented and thus had a bad fame a few years ago, but now it's one of the hot touristic spots. It's really picturesque. Funny thing that happened to us: when we asked the man at the information desk at the Central Station how to go to Nyhavn, he opened up his eyes in shock and asked; Why would two nice ladies like you want to go there? Then after a few seconds we realised he was kidding...and he explained to us that some years ago Nyhavn used to be a very bad area, with prostitutes and whatever, but that nowadays it's ok...

We went to a Brooklynesque coffee shop and ate some delicious cake with cream...I miss that cake...

Jensen's Bøfhus is a must-go if you like good meat! omg they have this delicious burger with a delicious sauces and delicious steak and delicious buns and delicious everything else that you will not find in any McDo's nor Burger King's, that's for sure!

Tivoli is the best amusement park I've ever been to! Many cool attractions, short queues and it stays open 'til midnight! Plus, Sting was performing and I got to ride the attractions while listening to him singing live haha I had so much fun that day that I even displaced my shoulder in the most ludicrous way possible and everything was ok despite my humiliation and pain.

The beach that I went to was different from anything I've seen, but that's just 'cause I'm used to Brazilian beaches...it had no waves, weird shore, rocky sand..but the water is beautiful. Unfortunately I didn't have time to swim there :/
We tried to buy ice creams, but they only accepted Danish cards...but we only found that out after the guy had already put the first scoop on the waffle cone...and when he learned that we wouldn't be able to pay because we had only cards and no Danish money nor euro on us, he GAVE us the ice cream for free! How fucking awesome is that? How not to love Denmark and the Danes? <3
