Belgium, Brussels, Bruges and Ghent

The adventure started in France...we almost lost the bus!  I don't remember how was the bus ride after all this time, but I just remember chaos to board it, because people were pushing other people, trying to board first and get a seat...I was like, wtf? Am I back to Brazil or what? lol As soon as the bus entered Brussels I was slightly disappointed...it didn't have that cosy vibe I got from other European cities...It reminded me too much of where I come from lol ...but that was just my first impression... We’ve been warned about it, tho'.  The Hotel – we couldn’t find a hostel to book last minute for Saturday night so we booked a lovely 4 stars hotel instead. A room for two, but we’ve managed to sneak a third person in :) why not if it fits,  amirite? Luckily we didn’t get caught. I just love hotels...! hotel beds..hotel sheets and duvets...and toilets...finding everything tidy and shit. Saturday night – Brussel/Bruxelles: we stumbled upon the Mann...

Estonia, Tallinn

Image
Arrived at the Tallinn airport and was welcomed by my smiling friend! :) As we were leaving the airport she spotted a friend of hers and started to chat with him, which in the end scored us a ride to her apartment. Win :) The first and only day I woke up early in Tallinn we went to an underground passageways/bunkers/tunnels thing which was really cool and cool . They gave us blankets (can't imagine that place during winter!) Tallinn has a very interesting history! All around the old town is surrounded by wall towers , which is really beautiful and also a big reminder of thousands of years worth of history. We went to eat the best pancakes in the world at Kompressor . I tried one with garlic and cheese and it was divine. The same couldn't be said about my breath afterwards, though. We tried to go back there another day, but we got the time wrong :/ My friend gave me a super adorable pair of handcrafted earrings but one of them broke two days later :( I'v...

Latvia, Riga

Riga was a pleasant surprise, as you never hear of people saying ' oh I can't wait to go to Latvia! ', ' my honeymoon will be in Latvia ', ' I'll spend my new year's eve in Latvia ', ' I'm going to Latvia again ', ' I've always wanted to go to Latvia ', ' You should definitely go to Latvia! ', etc. The moment I arrived there, I was positively impressed by the very posh airport terminal. If there's a place you wanna save money and sleep over for free, it's the Riga airport . Plus, they have free GOOD wifi ! Like, one of the fastest ever. So I went to the old town and was so happy with what I saw. Like, really happy. Everything was pretty and charming and vibrant . There were people eating outdoors, live music on everywhere, like the entire old town was in fiesta! I wish I had time to just hang out there and eat, but there was a lot to see, so I had to keep moving. The sunset by the bridge was astonish...

Hungary, Budapest

My Austrian friend was nice enough to take me to the train station and help me with my suitcase, otherwise I think I would have been utterly fucked...I barely slept because we had an all-nighter and arrived at the train station just in time. The train ride was somewhat smooth...the train was crowded as usual, but I had found a free seat...though not for long. Then I had to travel half of the parcours standing by the door. Not comfortable, but way better than my train experience in Berlin! When I arrived in Budapest, it was hot as hell and I felt completely lost. After having friends with me in Austria, Germany and Norway, I was completely on my own this time. There are not many people in Budapest who speak English and I had no clue as to where to take the bus that would take me to my hostel. Plus, I had no Hungarian money . I walked around for a while, struggling with the sun and my suitcase, trying to find my way, all in vain. I'd save so much time and energy if I weren...
